What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a system of healthcare with a strong emphasis on the interrelationship of the body’s muscles, bones, ligaments, tendons and nerves. Through gentle, effective manipulation, osteopaths are able to relieve many of life’s aches and pains quickly and completely.

NICE guidelines, which provide doctors with evidence based recommendations for health care in the UK, recommend physical therapy, such as Osteopathy, for the early management of non-specific low back pain.

At Hands on Health our Osteopaths treat people of all ages with a variety of different conditions

Phrases our patients often use before treatment:

'I have been struggling with back, neck or joint pain.'

'I can't do simple things like putting on shoes or swinging a golf club.'

'I am sick and tired of waiting for NHS appointments.'

'I have tried other treatments, only to find that the pain returns.'

'My pain disturbs my sleep, I'm often tired and irritable.'

'I am taking pain killers but would like to stop!'

Does any of this sound like you? Is this thought process familiar to you too? If so you are in the right place. We have years of experience helping people just like you get back on their feet and back to doing the things they love.
