Ann Thompson

Ann Thompson

Osteopathy

Ann is delighted to bring the benefits of osteopathy to the community – be it for babies, children, the elderly or any one in between.

She utilises a broad range of osteopathic techniques including Cranial Osteopathy and gentle joint and soft tissue manipulation, selecting the most appropriate approach according to the needs and preferences of the individual. She particularly enjoys the reward of seeing babies who were previously struggling with a variety of digestive issues including colic become happy and content after a course of treatment.

Prior to qualifying as an osteopath Ann spent a number of years working as a Personal Trainer and as an exercise specialist for the NHS on cardiac rehabilitation and fall prevention programs across Buckinghamshire.

In 2010, after 5 years of rigorous training, Ann achieved an honours degree in Osteopathy from the College of Osteopaths in London. She joined Jane at Hands on Health in 2013.

Hannah Allmark

Hannah Allmark

Osteopathy

Hannah graduated from the University of Swansea in 2022 with a Masters Degree in Osteopathy. She spent the subsequent 18 months living in Auckland, New Zealand, where she worked in a busy practice. She was a popular practitioner and acquired a reputation for effective treatment of a wide range of conditions.

As an experienced Osteopath, Hannah is able to provide an individualised treatment for each patient. Where appropriate, she is happy to use joint manipulations where a gentle clicking sensation is felt by the patient to provide instant relief.

Hannah prides herself on her patient-practitioner relationships. She is thrilled to join the team at Hands on Health and can’t wait to meet you and, most importantly, relieve your aches and pains!

Jane Kaushal

Jane Kaushal

Osteopathy

Jane is a Cambridge graduate and qualified with a first class honours degree from the British School of Osteopathy in 2002. This academic back ground combined with a practical approach places her in an ideal position to understand how best to ease your aches and pains, and communicate her understanding to you.

Jane has many years of experience working with people in pain. She has an easy, friendly manner yet wastes no time in getting on with the job of helping you to feel better as soon as possible. Her hands have a highly developed sense of palpation and a remarkable ability to ‘hit the spot’. Using a combination of deep tissue massage techniques and stretching, moving and manipulation of the muscles and joints, Jane helps relieve the pain and restore your body to its best possible function. Treatment is completed with valuable guidance on how to maintain your improved health. This approach is successful in treating both recent and long term conditions. Jane founded Hands on Health in 2008 and is proud of our reputation in the Marlow area for excellent hands-on treatment.

"I had a problem that no one else could fix"

"My neck and shoulder pain had been an ongoing problem that no one else could fix, until I visited Hands on Health.  I am pleased to say that the manipulation of my muscles and joints plus doing my 'homework' has made a real difference.  I am very happy that I am now able to do my card making and get out and enjoy my gardening again without the pain bothering me."

"treatment quickly eased my pain"

"Jane keeps me going! When I first saw her I had a very painful back injury that stopped me from bowling. Jane's treatment quickly eased my pain and I now have maintenance appointments to keep the symptoms at bay and I am able to bowl 3 or 4 times a week."

"Jane used her expertise"

"I don't know what I would do without Jane! My right knee had been very painful, especially at night, and it was really getting me down. Jane used her expertise to talk me through what was going on and provided me with notes of what to say when I saw my GP. I was quickly put on the path to knee replacement surgery and I can say with confidence that is was the right thing to do. I am very happy with the outcome. My new knee is not perfect but it is much better than the old one and I am now having regular manipulation of the surrounding muscles by Jane to speed along the healing process."

"my spine feels so much more flexible"

"I am a keen golfer but was getting very frustrated by the fact that I couldn't complete a whole round of golf because of spasms in my back. After a few treatments of Jane manipulating my muscles my spine feels so much more flexible. I am thrilled because I have just come back from a golfing holiday where I played 18 holes every day for 4 days with no pain whatsoever!?
